Dr Nor Aziah is currently a fellow of the Malaysian Academy of Professors. She was an honorary professor of Teaching and Learning at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She was formerly the UiTM Director of Academic Development (2014-2021), the Director of E-learning (2012-2014), the Deputy dean (Academic) of UiTM Faculty of Education and an instructional designer at the university’s distance learning centre. She has a Masters degree in Physics and a Bachelor Degree in the same field from Indiana University, Bloomington. She earned a Graduate Certificate in ODL from University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Her doctoral degree is in the field of instructional technology. She has won awards including Best IIUM PhD (Education) Student Award, Malaysian Educational Technology Association Dissertation Award and Academic Excellence Award from KOSMA, Malaysia. Dr. Nor Aziah also won the EdTech Leadership in Asia for Tertiary Education Award (EduTECH) Asia 2019. She was also awarded UiTM Anugerah Tokoh Akademik and Ikon Akademia by the Department of Higher Education, MOHE in 2022. Her field of interest include Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) and ICT for Development (ICT4D), Technology enhanced learning environment, development research in Instructional Technology and education for sustainable development.

Dr Nor Aziah once won the Amy Mahan Research Fellowship from IDRC, Canada that allowed her to study the use of ICT for empowerment and worked with twelve other research groups from all over the world. She has been involved in projects and research on technology for the needs of learners with disabilities. She is currently a member of a research group studying empathy and altruism among Dental students.

She is also a member of a national study to formulate action plans to address the threat of drugs and substancesDr Nor Aziah conceptualized the Virtual Centre for Innovative Delivery and Learning Development @UiTM and spearheaded Education 5.0@UiTM, a strategic initiative to develop a holistic values-based and technology rich academic ecosystem. The A.D.A.B Model for designing learning which was approved by the UiTM Senate was developed by Dr Nor Aziah and team. She also led a team that was awarded the best team in a UNESCO Bootcamp for Learning Design and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in May 2023. She is currently assisting CADE-LEAD, UPM in integrating ESD in the curricula.

Dr. Nor Aziah has published in journals, written chapters and edited books published by MIT Press, Springer, Sage, Information Age Publishing, Copenhagen Business School Press, Libri Press (UK) and IGI Global (Pennsylvania, USA). Her edited book titled “Cases on Responsive and Responsible Learning in Higher Education” was published in February 2023. She has recently published two other edited books titled “Digital Leadership for Higher Education Sustainability” and “Digital Transformation and Higher Education Sustainability” in June 2025.

Dr. Nor Aziah has been involved in many Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education’s projects and initiatives. She was one of the writers of the Orange Book for Differentiated Career Pathways. She sat in committees at the Ministry of Higher Education level namely the strategic committee for MPU /General Education, the committee for MOHE ExCEL project, the taskforce for globalised online learning, the panel for the Redesigning Higher Education award (AKRI) and the panel for the conceptualization of HI COE for Teaching and Learning. Her other involvement was in the planning of Malaysian digital education where she co-chaired a nationwide impact study and sat on the national technical committee.

She was also a member of the National Security Index Research team and a global mental health study conducted during the pandemic. Her past involvement also included a study of academic program relevance (MOHE) and a revisit of General Education (MPU) for Malaysian Higher Education. She worked with IPG (MOE) to develop a training framework for digital educators in 2023 and is assisting AKEPT as a member of the 2024-2025 instructional leadership training module developers. She is currently a member of MQA Values Based Education Taskforce and a working group member of the National Education Reform Committee commissioned by the Ministry of Economy.

Adam Brimo is the founder and CEO of OpenLearning, an AI-powered lifelong learning platform with more than 250 education providers and 5 million learners worldwide. OpenLearning is headquartered in Sydney Australia, has a regional head office in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and team members around the world. In December 2019, OpenLearning listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Adam was recognised in the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for consumer technology, and included in the Pearcey Foundation’s 2018 New South Wales tech entrepreneur hall of fame. He holds a bachelor of engineering in software and bachelor of arts in politics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), while he completed his honours thesis at UNSW in partnership with National ICT Australia (now Data61). 

Puan Nurul Najwa Abu Bakar has been serving with MBOT for nearly three years, actively involved in strategic engagement and stakeholder engagement. She acts as a key liaison between MBOT and its stakeholders across the public sector, industry, and academic institutions, both locally and internationally.Her main focus is promoting MBOT’s core functions, including the Professional Technologists and Certified Technician recognition, fostering collaborative opportunities aligned with MBOT’s mission to:

2. Elevate the status, visibility, and recognition of the profession; and
3. Strengthen the skilled workforce needed for a high-income economy while safeguarding public safety and health.

To date, she has been involved in nearly 300 engagement sessions and is frequently invited as a speaker to raise awareness among technical personnel about the value of MBOT certification. Raja Nazatul Akhma is a pioneering education technology leader in Malaysia, known for her role in developing Pandai, the country’s fastest-growing edtech app for school students. With a background in teaching and curriculum design, she brings a strong pedagogical perspective to digital learning innovation. Nazatul has also led the creation of Pandai Teacher, an app and movement empowering educators to adopt digital tools for greater productivity and professional growth. Under her leadership, Pandai has reached over 1 million students and 50,000 teachers, gaining endorsements from the Ministry of Education and global investors. Her work continues to drive equitable access to quality learning across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Stephanie is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the global pharmaceutical, life sciences, and healthcare industry. She has held significant roles at Clarivate, focusing on digital solutions for life sciences and healthcare, and has led business development for pharmaceutical companies in the APAC and MENA regions. Currently, she is the Customer Success Manager for Southeast Asia at Elsevier, where she works with healthcare providers, medical associations, and universities to advance medical education and patient outcomes through technology.

Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universiti Putra Malaysia. These qualifications support her efforts in promoting productive analytics and technology adoption in healthcare.Outside of work, Stephanie loves to travel and enjoys discovering new cultures and cuisines. Her extensive career and dedication to the healthcare industry have made her a respected figure in the field.

Soon Seng is the CEO of Teach For Malaysia, an independent, not-for-profit organisation with a vision to see a Malaysia where all children have the opportunity to realise their potential through quality education.
 
He joined the inaugural Teach For Malaysia Cohort in 2012, and like many other Fellows and Alumni, the experience had a profound impact on his worldview. As a teacher in a low-income community, he was deeply moved by the challenges his students faced, and how it was the lack of opportunities, rather than the lack of ability, that typically prevented students from realising their potential.  

He holds a degree in Management and Marketing (Murdoch University) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Universiti Utara Malaysia). He is the Deputy Chairperson of the National Education Reform Study 2024-2026 under Akademi Sains Malaysia and the Ministry of Economy. In 2021 he was a recipient of the Malaysian Australian Alumni Council's Community Achievement Award and listed on Tatler's Asia's Most Influential list.  

He envisions a holistic education system that not only develops students' academics, but also their social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and leadership skills, in order to thrive in the 21st century.

Assoc Prof Dr. Rozilini Mary Fernandez-Chung is the Executive Director of the College Education Development Project, a major transnational initiative aimed at upskilling college leaders, teachers, and policymakers in Bangladesh. She is also an Associate Professor of Education, specializing in educational leadership, curriculum, and policy development.

Her professional journey has transitioned from law to teaching and research in higher education, policy development, and partnership building. This trajectory is underpinned by a strong commitment to social development, lifelong learning, critical inquiry, and evidence-based decision-making.

With 28 years of experience in legal and professional education, Assoc Prof Dr. Fernandez-Chung’s work as an adult educator shapes her approach, grounded in the belief that education nurtures students and staff as lifelong, broad learners and reflective practitioners who make valuable societal contributions. She measures her success by her influence on institutional, national, and global policies, knowledge creation, partnership development, and enhancement of the student experience. Her record includes contributions to 25 key international and national policies and over 120 publications, reflecting a sustained dedication to academic and professional excellence.

Ts. Muhammad 'Azizi Che Sulaiman is a highly accomplished Professional Technologist specializing in Art Design and Creative Multimedia Technology, with over 15 years of dynamic experience across the multimedia, publishing, and digital learning landscapes. He currently serves as the Lead of Digital Learning Design at IMU University, where he plays a key role in developing immersive and future-ready educational experiences for health professions education.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Interactive Media) from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Early in his career, Azizi also contributed as a Research Assistant at UTeM’s Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, supporting projects in interactive media and educational technology.

Azizi’s professional journey spans a wide range of industries. He began as a Graphic Designer at New Straits Times, later advancing to lead Multimedia & E-Learning Design at the Malaysian Insurance Institute. He then expanded his expertise as an E-Learning Specialist at Agrobank and took on the responsibility of overseeing media, publishing, and information strategies at the National Sports Council of Malaysia.

In addition to his industry roles, Azizi has actively contributed to academia. He served as a Board of Studies member for the Bachelor of Computer Science (Interactive Media) program at UTeM, offering valuable insights to align academic programs with industry needs. His freelance work across sectors has further enriched his perspective on multimedia’s transformative impact on communication and education.

At IMU, Azizi is leading innovation in digital learning by integrating augmented reality, 360-degree interactive video, and other immersive technologies to create engaging, student-centered learning environments that go beyond traditional methods.

Outside his institutional role, he is passionate about sharing design knowledge with a broader audience. He regularly conducts online creative design classes, teaching practical skills in tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, with the belief that creativity and technology should be accessible and empowering for all.

Kelvin Loh is a pioneer in Southeast Asia’s digital learning space, with over 30 years of experience in eLearning design, development, and consulting. As Co-Founder and Group CEO of eLearningMinds, Kelvin has led initiatives that empower organizations and individuals across Malaysia, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia with innovative, DIY eLearning solutions.

Known for his practical insights and future-focused mindset, Kelvin is a certified trainer and a leading advocate of AI-powered content creation tools and sustainable learning ecosystems. He is also the architect of the eLearningTalents Development Program, a regional initiative that develops digital learning professionals equipped with the latest design and development skills.

In his additional role as Senior VP of Learn Tech at Asia Learn Hub Marketplace, Kelvin drives regional collaboration among learning technology providers, promoting accessible and impactful digital learning for all.

Kelvin frequently advises national education institutions, including UNIMAS, and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), particularly in the areas of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and quality assurance. Passionate about democratizing professional learning, Kelvin continues to inspire and equip the next generation of learning professionals through technology, innovation, and community-building.

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad is an Associate Professorof Microbiology in the Faculty of Biotechnology and BiomolecularSciences at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). From 2018 to 2022,she served as Director of the Academic Excellence Division in theDepartment of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher EducationMalaysia. She currently leads the Centre for Academic Development and LeadershipExcellence (CADe-Lead) at UPM.

In recognition of her teaching and e-learning innovations, she received the NationalAcademic Award (Teaching Award – Pure Science Cluster) in 2018 and the HigherEducation E-Learning Maestro Award in 2023.

Dr. Wan Zuhainis also holds several distinguished appointments beyond UPM. She is Adjunct Professor at UCSI University and Advisory Board Member of the UK–Malaysian University Consortium. She advises the Centre of Academic Excellence and Development at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and serves on the Advisory Panel for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Universiti Teknologi Petronas.

She chairs the Malaysian Higher Education Teaching and Learning Council(MAGNETIC), and is Deputy Chairman of the Working Committee for the MalaysiaHigher Education Blueprint (2025–2036). Within the National Education Reforminitiative, she leads the Working Group on Adaptive, Relevant, and ResponsiveCurriculum (Life-Wide and Experiential Learning). Additionally, she has beenappointed Expert Consultant to support the transformation of academic programmes inCambodian higher education.

Khor Chin Yee is currently a master's student and Graduate Research Assistant at the XR Studio, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), currently working on a Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) project focusing on immersive technology. Having completed a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Technology , she represent students who have navigated education through significant technological integration.

During her academic tenure, Khor Chin Yee successfully secured Penang Future Foundation Scholarship and appeared on the Vice Chancellor's List for two consecutive academic years (2022/2023 & 2023/2024). She received the Best Student Award and Best Project Award upon graduation of bachelor degree, and her participated team had placed third in the 2023 ASEAN-ROK Youth Metaverse Idea Contest hold by Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, South Korea.      

Khor Chin Yee conducts immersive technology workshops for students and visitors while contributing to research publications under the grant. Currently positioned between student and emerging educator roles, she aims to offer insights into how students experience technology-enhanced learning environments and the continued importance of human mentorship in education.
