e-Inovasi Competition – Overview
The iLRF e-Inovasi Competition aims to inspire, empower, and elevate participants through their inventive approaches to technology-enhanced learning for students, educators, and corporate staff of higher learning institutions.
The competition serves as a platform for the learning and teaching communities to explore and showcase new insights, perspectives, best practices, challenges, emerging trends, and innovations in learning and teaching through product innovation.

iLRF2026 e-Inovasi Guidelines
- Open for all students and professionals (educators, innovators and researchers both local and international from all learning institutions, corporate training agencies and related industries).
- All participants are required to register through the Festival Management System (FMS System) online platform for iLRF2026.
- The project can be developed either in English or Bahasa Melayu.
- Participants may join as an individual or in a group (maximum of five (5) members per group).
- Participants are allowed to submit more than one entry. Each entry must be of a different project.
- Participants are required to complete registration and make the registration fee payment for each submission before proceeding with the full project submission.
- The organiser reserves the right to reject any incomplete submissions. The incomplete submission will be informed via the FMS system.
- Accepted submissions evaluated by the judges will receive a Certificate and a Medal.
- The medal will be sent out after the iLRF2026 event concludes. All communication will occur via registered email in the FMS system.

Category Overview
The Interactive Learning Experience category recognises innovative projects that enhance education and training through interactive and technology-driven solutions. This category is designed for participants who develop digital tools, platforms, or content that improve engagement, knowledge retention, and the overall learning experience.
Projects under this category should demonstrate how technology supports meaningful collaboration, learner empowerment, and human-centred learning design to create effective and engaging learning experiences.

This category is open to all students and professionals.
Project Requirements
Projects under this category must leverage technology to create engaging and interactive learning environments. Eligible innovations may include, but are not limited to:
- Virtual Reality (VR): Immersive simulations and experiences designed for educational purposes, such as virtual laboratories, historical site explorations, or skill-based training.
- Augmented Reality (AR): Interactive overlays that enhance real-world learning experiences, such as AR-enhanced textbooks, anatomy visualisation tools, or hands-on training applications.
- AI-Based Content: Adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, or AI-driven assessments that personalise learning experiences.
- Interactive Courses/Programmes: Digitally enhanced learning modules that encourage active participation through quizzes, and real-time feedback.
- Learning Management Systems (LMS): Platforms that facilitate course delivery, content management, progress tracking, and collaborative learning.
- Gamification & Interactive Engagement: Projects that use game mechanics, rewards, challenges, or simulations to enhance learner motivation, engagement, and active participation.
- Microlearning & Bite-Sized Learning Innovation: Projects that deliver learning content in short, focused, and easily digestible units to improve learner engagement, knowledge retention, and flexibility.
- Emerging Interactive Learning Technologies: Innovative solutions or technology-enhanced educational tools that leverage current digital learning trends to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

2. Video Presentation (Maximum 5 Minutes)
- The video presentation must be uploaded to YouTube and set to public or unlisted visibility.
- The presentation should address the following key aspects:
- Impact on Learners/Users: How does the project enhance learning experiences?
- Innovation: What are the unique and creative elements of the project?
- Scalability: Can the project be expanded or adapted for broader implementation?
- Portability: How easily can the project be applied across different platforms or settings?
- Resource and Cost Efficiency: What resources are required, and how cost-effective is the project?
- Sustainability: How will the project maintain long-term continuity, and what supporting evidence is available?
- Achievements (if any): Highlight any awards, recognitions, or successful implementations.

The Mobile Apps category recognises innovative mobile applications designed to enhance education, training, and learning experiences. This category is intended for participants who develop mobile solutions that facilitate accessibility, engagement, and interactive learning through smartphones, tablets, or other mobile devices.

All entries must submit the following two (2) items: under this category must leverage mobile technology to support teaching and learning. Eligible innovations may include, but are not limited to:
- Educational Mobile Applications: Apps designed for learning subjects, skill development, or knowledge sharing, such as language learning apps, coding tutorials, or STEM education tools.
- Gamified Learning Apps: Applications that incorporate game elements to enhance engagement and motivation in learning.
- AI-Powered Mobile Learning: Intelligent apps that personalise learning experiences through adaptive content, chatbots, or AI-driven recommendations.
- Assessment and Feedback Apps: Mobile solutions that facilitate quizzes, formative assessments, and instant feedback for learners.

- The evaluation will be made by experienced judges, selected by the organiser
- The scoring criteria are as follows:
Innovative
• How Innovative is the project? (What innovative ideas or solutions were used to integrate the project at the workplace, and how effective was technology at supporting the teaching and learning?
• Originality of the innovation will be reviewed
Usefulness and Practicality
• How useful is the product to the learners, faculty or the institutions?
• Is it practical to be used in any environment and platform?
Impact on learning
• How did it have an impact on user’s (Learners) performance?
• How did it have an impact on Academics (Teaching) performance?
Presentation and Q&A*
• Clarity, logical flow, and communication of the project.
• Effective use of visuals, graphics, demonstrations, and technical quality (video and audio).
• Q&A session is applicable only during Stage 2 (physical judging).
- The judges’ decision is final.
- The top 30 participants will be invited to IMU University for a physical showcase and final judging.
- Any appeals will not be entertained.

The competition will consist of two (2) rounds of judging:
- Stage 1 (Online Judging)
- Stage 2 (Physical Judging)
Stage 1 (Online Judging)
- Judging will be conducted online based on the submitted project evidence, e-poster, and video presentation.
- Judging will take place one week after the submission deadline.
- Results for the final round will be informed via email.
Stage 2 (Physical Judging)
- The top 30 participants with the highest scores from Stage 1 will be selected for the final round.
- The judges will evaluate each project by visiting the designated booths and assessing based on the provided criteria.
- Participants will have 5 minutes to present and showcase their project, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session with the judges.
- The organisers will assign a minimum number of judges.
- Participants must print an A1-sized poster for display during the showcase.

Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Secretariat of IMU International Learning Resources Festival 2026 (iLRF2026)
- There will be a full refund of the registration fee for cancellation made by 11 May 2026
- There will be a 50% refund of the registration fee for cancellation made before 11 June 2026
- There will be no refund of the registration fee for cancellation made on 12 June 2026 and thereafter.
- The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change the topic or trainer of the workshop if for whatever reasons beyond its control, the workshop cannot be held as scheduled, or the topics need to be altered.
