The iLRF e-Inovasi Competition aims to inspire, empower and elevate participants through their inventive approaches to technology-enhanced learning for students, educators and corporate staff of higher learning institutions. The competition serves as a platform for the learning and teaching communities to explore and showcase new insights, perspectives, best practices, challenges, emerging trends and innovations in the world of learning and teaching through product innovation.
Who Should Participate?
Open to students, educators, innovators and researchers from all learning institutions, corporate training agencies and related industries. Participation is via product showcase and also e-poster presentation.
Guideline for the iLRF e-Inovasi Competition 2024
- Open to students, educators, innovators and researchers from all learning institutions, corporate training agencies and related industries both local and international.
- The project can be developed either in English or Bahasa Melayu.
- Participation may be as an individual or in a group (maximum of five members per group).
- The five (5) categories of competition in iLRF 24 are as follows:
- Interactive Learning Experience
- Mobile Apps competition
- Microlearning Competition
- Micro-credential
- Video Competition
- Product or innovation must relate to teaching and learning. The breakdown of the categories are as follows:
Interactive Learning Experience
This category includes the development of innovative and engaging learning experiences through interactive media, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, gamification, simulations and role-playing, personalised learning, learning analytics, and interactive simulations. The participants are encouraged to develop platforms or tools that integrate interactivity to enhance learning, fostering deeper user engagement and understanding.
Mobile Apps competition
These apps could range from educational tools and productivity enhancers to games or utilities, offering convenience and functionality to users on the go.
Microlearning Competition
In microlearning, learning content is delivered to learners in short, bite-sized, typically through digital media. In this category, participants are expected to create concise yet effective learning modules or platforms on a variety of topics or skills.
Micro-credential
In this category, participants are encouraged to design and develop micro-credential programs that offer valuable learning opportunities in specific fields or disciplines.
Video Competition
The video competition category invites creative individuals to showcase their storytelling skills through the medium of video. Video content may be created in the form of educational videos, documentaries, animated shorts, or any other form of video content that conveys a compelling message. The maximum video duration should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Participants are allowed to submit more than one entry. Each entry must be of a different project. If all submissions are accepted, the participants mustpay registration fee for each submission.
- Participants need to submit:

- video presentation/evidence link
- Submit them through the registration link provided here. During the registration process, ensure to fill in all the required information. Once the application has been approved, please proceed with the payment.
- By submitting materials to the iLRF 2024 competitions, the organiser has the right to publish the submitted materials on our official website and social media platforms. This includes, but is not limited to photographs, videos, written content, and any other promotional materials you provide.

For the video presentation, you are required to upload the video to YouTube and set the visibility to "public/unlisted”.
Video length: Maximum 5 minutes
Video presentation must answer following questions and include following items:
- How the project has an impact on learners/users?
- Share innovative element of the project.
- How scalable this project?
- Portability of the project is assessed.
- How much resource/cost efficient.
- Sustainability: The continuity of the project is maintained at a certain rate/level and evidence will be reviewed.
- Achievement (if any)

- The deadline for registration is 11 October 2024, Friday
- The deadline for final submission and payment is 21 October 2024, Monday
- Participants are allowed to submit more than one entry. If all submissions are accepted, the participants must pay for each submission.
- The organiser reserves the right to reject submissions that do not fulfil the requirements of the competition.
- Each submission will receive a Certificate of Achievement and Medal as proof of participation.
- The organiser reserves the right to amend or modify the competition rules and guidelines as deemed necessary.
Judging Criteria:
Innovative
How Innovative is the project? (What innovative ideas or solutions were used to integrate the project at the workplace, and how effective was technology at supporting the teaching and learning? Originality of the innovation will be reviewed)
Usefulness and Practicality
How useful is the product to the learners, faculty or the institutions? Is it practical to be used in any environment and platform?
Impact on learning
How did it have an impact on user’s (Learners) performance? How did it have an impact on Academics (Teaching) performance?
Presentation and Q&A
Presentation Flow, Effective communication with visualization, elicit questions and able to respond appropriately
- All judging process and decision are done collectively. Decision made by the judges is final.
- The top 30 participants with the highest points will be invited to physically present and showcase at IMU University on the 2nd day of iLRF2024 event to select the top 3 winners.
- Any appeals will not be entertained.

Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Secretariat of IMU International Learning Resources Festival 2024 (iLRF 2024)
- There will be full refund of registration fee for cancellation made by 14 August 2024
- There will be a 50% refund of registration fee for cancellation made before 14 September 2024
- There will be no refund of registration fee for cancellation made on 15 September 2024 and thereafter.
- The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change the topic or trainer of the workshop, if for whatever reasons beyond its control, the workshop cannot be held as scheduled or the topics need to be altered.
